Mental Wellness is as important as physical wellness to our health. We are interested in listening to your thoughts and feelings and have higher training in this area. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of counselling that uses mindfulness to encourage self-acceptance. We have Health Improvement Practitioners (HIPs) with special training in ACT who can see you to support your mental health and well-being.
Appointments with our HIPs are often free of charge.
Our practitioners are a good mix of female and male, and all have experience with men’s health needs. We are happy to discuss any issues that may arise.
Prescriptions for regular medication can be requested via Manage My Health, in person, or by phone. To ensure your medication is still right for you a regular review with your GP is needed. Please talk to the nurse if you would like more information about this.
As a nation, we are struggling with increasing levels of obesity and diabetes. Our Nurses, Health Improvement Practitioners, Health Coach and Dietician are all available to help and appointments can often be free of charge. Please Contact Us for an appointment.

Our nurses offer comprehensive smoking cessation support – if you are considering quitting give us a call and make an appointment to help get you started.
You may require laboratory tests including blood tests. Our practice policy is that either a GP or a Nurse will only phone you if you have abnormal results or results from tests that require a change to your health management. You will not be contacted if your results are in normal range and do not require any changes as a result.
You can access your lab results once they have been checked and filed, via Manage My Health. You can sign up to Manage My Health online or contact us about how to register.
If you would like information on travel health, and vaccination, we are able to advise in this area. This requires a 30-minute consult, and it would be helpful if you can fill in this online form before your consult.
